Get InfinityServer

One installer. It finds your game, adds the mod, and stays out of the way.

InfinityServer is not a separate download of the game — it runs inside the AdventureQuest Worlds Infinity client you already have. The installer adds a few files to that folder; the official game is left exactly where it is.

What you need AdventureQuest Worlds Infinity, installed through Steam Build of 19 September 2026
  1. Install the game first. InfinityServer patches the official client, so get AdventureQuest Worlds Infinity from Steam and run it once before you start.
  2. Close the game. Windows locks the files while it is running, and the installer will refuse rather than half-finish.
  3. Run the installer. It finds your Steam copy on its own. If it cannot — a second Steam library, or a manual install — point it at the folder yourself with Browse.
  4. Launch and sign in. Your first sign-in creates the account if you have not made one. The same account works on SwordShine, and so does the hero and the bag behind it.

It updates itself

After this one install you do not download anything again. The mod checks InfinityServer at the login screen, verifies the new build against a published checksum, and swaps it in after you close the game.

Going back is one file

Deleting UserData\infinity_api.txt in the game folder puts you back on official AE. The installer has a button that does exactly that.

Windows will warn you

The installer is not signed with a paid certificate, so SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”. Choose More info → Run anyway. The checksum below is there so you can confirm what you downloaded.

Nothing is overwritten blindly

Whatever the installer replaces is copied to an InfinityServer-backup-… folder next to the game first, and it refuses to write anything at all if the download does not match its published checksum.
